Research and sourcing
Model-dependent instructions are checked against the relevant manufacturer manual when one is available. Safety and performance claims use primary or authoritative sources such as manufacturers, consumer-safety agencies, ENERGY STAR, the EPA and recognized standards bodies. One manufacturer’s instruction is not presented as universal.
Drafting and review
AI tools may assist with research organization, outlining or an early draft. The site editor remains responsible for verifying claims, checking sources, enforcing the safe DIY boundary, reviewing links, and deciding whether the article is ready to publish. RFSE does not invent hands-on testing, professional credentials, expert review or reader results.
Safety boundary
Guides stop at user-accessible cleaning, observation, routine maintenance and removable parts. RFSE excludes gas work, exposed live components, capacitors, microwave internals, refrigerants, fixed wiring, structural repair and safety-interlock bypasses.
Updates and commerce
Material updates receive a visible updated date where supported. Affiliate relationships and supplied products are disclosed clearly. Recommendations are not described as tested unless genuine evaluation is documented.
